Chicken Making weird noises

My neighbors chicken is making really weird noises, almost like it was crying/wheezing both when breathing in and out just started about hour or so ago. It is about 20 weeks, close to laying to start. Any ideas or suggestions on what to do?

We put in box in the dark to try and calm her down, will move to garage to keep cool as the weather will be getting hotter here later today.

she may be about to lay her first egg! my girl made almost the same sound. sometimes they are load about and sometimes their not load at all it depends on your bird but when she goes to lay her egg she will scratch at the ground in the nest box spin around and push till the egg comes and my gusse for the noise is because she could be cramping just like people some of us cramp and some dont just depends on the person or bird
