Well, thank God, may have found someone to take them. Answered my ad on craigslist. Suppose to come by tonight and take them we will see. This is the only part of raising animals I dont like. Either I butcher them if i could wait that long or I sell them and they may do it. If my family was hard up I could do it no problem but its hard. Im happy though. Less mouths to feed and less crowing. Now just have to wait till my Marans get old enough to tell which are best and I will get rid of those too.

i know this is out of the ordinary which I have done a few times when I get NO bites for any one to get the roos out of my hands.

Either to the zoo, or if you really are in a BIND (like I was, and the zoo was closed for the season), dump them near the bird of prey's nests and let them dispatch them for their own dinner for their chicks.

Glad to hear it all worked out. When the time comes, the Marans should not be a problem at all. At least they aren't in these parts. Seems everyone's always looking for them.

Ok, get this. The guy I was talking to that was suppose to come get them called me to say he was on his way. I dont know why I said this but I did. "You do know these are Cockerels right?" He said "Whats that?" I said "Male chickens".
He hesitated and said ok and that he was on his way. I get all them ready and put them in a box. Waited 2 hours for this *** and missed a school function for my daughter. No show. 1. Read the ad dummies, it right there! 2. If you dont know what a Cockerel is its not time for you to get chickens. Thats basic stuff to know. Moron. Anyway I have other inquiries and I have been spelling it out for them.

Well, I was finally able to get rid of 8 roos. I hope they read the ad right!

I hope it works. I was having a huge problem getting rid of the males. Now I not worried. I can take them to the auction and make some money instead of losing it.
