This is my second coop I have done. The first one I had problems with bears and rats taking out my flock. 10 years later and I was set on making the new coop as predator resistant as possible. It’s 8’x16’ and 5’x8’ is storage. The storage separates the coop and run. I have a big enough channel for the girls to run between the coop and run. My girls aren’t very smart though. They sleep in the cut through and not on the roost bar 🤦‍♀️.

I still have to add another window and a fan. Not sure what other tweaks and touches I may do lol. My hubby has been a trooper through it all though. Even though he said I can’t have chickens.

You may need some more ventilation on the coop portion. Florida does get warm during summer.
BTW,,,, Beautiful Build :thumbsup

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:highfive:
I’m going to be adding a 2nd window and a fan. The whole roof is open as well. If it gets to hot I will add an exhaust fan.

Thank you 😊. I’m super excited.
