I have 3 4-week old Barred Rock chicks and 1 5-week old cockerel being raised in a friend’s brooder 
I am so excited for them to come live in their forever coop! But... my coop is plenty big enough for 6 
and I’d love to have layers before December. So I’ve been looking into getting 2 laying hens to adopt and bring home before my younger ones arrive. I am crazy. Talk me down! (Or give any advice you see fit, I’ll take it either way 
)
