well, it's happened again! we thought we'd be happy with the three we brought home yesterday, but four is such a nice round number! we just got home with Tillie, our second EE! chicken math!!!

Holy cluck! I'm at a loss for words. That's a lot of chickens!
Hopefully, we'll stick with four for now. Downside is... we asked the woman yesterday "are these all pullets?"
She said, "Yes, all girls."
Today her husband said the wyandottes are st. run. Tammy Wyandotte might by a Tommy or Timmy!!!
i have 7 2 weeks olds, had to go to the feed store to get a new heat bulb when the other 2 eggs hatched (only 2 out of 6
) and came home with a friend for them! now i've got 3 that age and 7 2 week olds and 2 5 week olds and 2 7 month olds and 5 full grown ones.
in my defense, the 2 week olds and the original 2 hatched from the eggs are for sale.... i'm only keeping the one baby and the 5 week olds to add to my coop!... for now.
It all started with 11 chickens. (ten hens, and one roo) [one died though, because it was caught in a snow storm]
I got a few more...
I am now at 29 full grown chickens... 1 chick. buying 10 delaware chicks tomorrow. Plus 41 in the incubator.
