I know what you mean lol. I only wanted 6 for eggs and am lol down to 43.

Ive got meat breeds coming. Now i need some white eggers. So i will probably order 15 barred hollands.

Lucky for me and my feed budget my hens are so far self supporting with selling the extra eggies. I sure wish DH would let me have some ducks. The eggs are so nice for baking with.
My son calls me an "egg hoarder" whatever that means lol.

I tend to distribute to friends and family. If I don't keep my mind occupied it's off to the nut hut. It's relaxing,but you have to share the tv

We have a large asian population around here. I was asking some of the guys at work if they ate duck eggs. They forgot to speak english.got ALL excited.lol

Funny how some folks can get all excited about some silly eggies lol.

I have a co worker that keeps trying to get me to raise silkies so she can eat them. I keep saying NO.

I think it is some weird ritual with her. She is just kind of odd in my book lol. I wont raise chickens people seek out as pets just so she can eat them. I told her to raise her own.

Oh my gosh, I want an ostrich or two! My wife wants her horses first lol.
My 6 brand new chicks turned into nine the next day, haha.
I can't believe I'm saying this: I'm glad I was wrong! I'm actually zoned for 99 chickens! Thankfully I asked someone who knows our local laws, and they pointed me in the "right" direction lol.

To be honest thats what i want too. The meat and eggs are a bonus. The last flock i had hurricane Ike saw fit to send to parts unknown. But before that, I knew which hen layed what egg I swear they could understand me. Whenni wasn't working id sit in the pen covered with chickens just having a good old time
