The light one is super sweet. Yes I am rather fond of the decorative feathering. My favorite breed will always be the Black Australorp though.

I LOVE my BA's! We have two of them and I absolutely adore them.

My Hubby thinks the BA's are plain looking. I find them beautiful.
I got a couple little Iowa Blues this year hoping for the birchin markings. Mine are both black and look a lot like small BA's.

I am happy with them.

I've got 6 BAs that I adore, they are my 2nd favorites after my delawares. I call 5 of them my Zerglings (geek reference to a video game, they are just so voracious the name fits lol), and the 6th is Nugget...

Autocorrect is a beast lol, mine still hasn't learned how to spell "pullet", I have to check that word every time, it's come up with some crazy things to replace it with haha

I used to have a few BA's. They were great birds. Really good layers and always docile. Gosh. Here we go with chicken math again. I miss my australorps!! Lol

The only problem I have with my Australorps is that they need hen saddles due to the roo being overly affectionate. It seems like their feathers are more delicate than my other girls.

I love my Delawares too! Such great attitude!

I think the BA's are gorgeous. And those EYES, liquid brown love. They have such a gentle, sweet look.

I've never had Iowa Blues either, there are just so many breeds that I want to have here! Lol!
