Dad wanting to go meet 'his' kids. This may be the last batch he gets to help raise. He turned seven 4 days ago and is still recovering from a serious health decline.

I do too but I doubt it. He is an excellent flock leader and father. If nothing else, I hope he lives long enough to raise his replacements.

He lost over 1/3 of his body weight. He is still weak but has started to crow again and is getting his color back. I still help him down from the roost every morning and have been doing so for months now.
