(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Very new- we were just gifted some this past weekend.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8 chicks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Red and Silver Lakenvelder (looking to rehome these girls)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Using them to teach my children and egg production, of course.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening and being a mom :)

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a mom of 1 and a stepmom of 2! My kids are with us most of the time and enjoy outside activities as well as animals. I am Special Education teacher and Board Certified Behavior Analyst and my husband is a Special Education Teacher as well.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I googled for some resources!

Welcome. Since both your husband and your careers are in special education, do you have experience with therapy chickens?
