Hi my name is Liz!

  • I have 2 chickens named Fritz and Titz, they are my children.
  • One is a buff orpington and one is an australorp.
  • I have had them for a little over a year now, I got them when they were 1 day old!
  • I strive to get closer with them and hopefully perfect some flaws that they have. (bad pecking manners, major loss of feathers (as you will see, Titz has no tail because of this).
I will attach images, Fritz is the yellow hen who I believe is a buff orpington (correct me if I'm wrong) and Titz is the black (what I believe to be australorp) again correct me if I'm wrong!

I love them both, they have their flaws but I'm here to try to connect with other chicken parents who may have had similar experiences!

By the way, I am a 21 year old college student that lives in Fort Collins, CO. I got chickens because I watched the documentary "Chicken People" in my sociology class and I knew it was for me.

First pic: The ladies and I
Second pic: Their personalized egg carton
Third pic: Them eating their special breakfast I made them
