I was born and raised in Massachusetts and was lucky enough to grow up with chickens, among hundreds of other animals. I did not have my own chickens most of my adult life do a lot of it feels brand new to me. I currently have 40 chickens with more on the way over the next couple of months. Silkies are my favorite with EE's a close second. I will be getting my first set of salmon faverolles this year and from what I know about them they may take over as my favorite chickens.
