i was raised around chickens and as an adult never imagined being a chicken owner let alone a new momma who is in LOVE with her chickens! I have 3 buff laced polish 2 of them freebies (originally named Mazee Marleigh and Mary, but have changed to Marley, Mazee and possibly Marco! I’m thinking I may have 2 cockerels) 2 sapphire gems Jemma & Jazzi, 2 golden comets Blanche & Rose 1 calico princess Rhoda 2 americans Birdie & Dot, 1 welsummer Lulu and 1 black maran indigo. Originally I ordered 7 Pulley’s and came home with 12 (3 freebies), 2 polish and an Americana. I am loving being a chicken momma. They are 7 weeks old today.
I am married to my first and last love for time and all eternity. He is my superhero even if he doesn’t agree with my chicken math!! He is always putting up with my crazy antics and building me whatever I need and at this point it’s an egglectic coop de jour!! We live on a small 3 acre homestead and my life is pretty blessed beyond measure.
We live on a small homestead that is loaded with vegetable & herb gardens and flowers beds galore.
I have 5 grown children and a house full of grandsons 5 to be exact! Hoping for a few granddaughters to join the mix soon! In the meantime I will love on my hens.
