In spite of our best efforts, our dog got into the chicken area and killed two of them. The survivors are all grieving, especially the one who'd bonded almost exclusively with one of the now-deceased birds. She is being excluded by the others. Is it likely that she'll be able to be part of the flock once again?

TIA for any answers

I think that the remaining chickens will be fine. You may want to check the ones that are keeping their distance for injuries. I'll also give you a tip on training the dog. I haven't personally done this, but I have seen the results and know it works. If this happens again.....hopefully not....tie the remaining part of the chicken to the collar of the dog. Tie it where the dog can't bite it or pull it off. It will take a few days to be affective. I know this sounds like torture for the dog, but the dog will have NO desire to mess with chickens again.

Thank you kindly for the words of reassurance and the dog training advice.
We will try the aversion therapy. Do you think a store bought chicken would work?

TIA
