Can anyone describe the anatomy of a the inside of a chicken's beak to me? Where does the tongue attach? We had an incident with trimming our 8 month old chicken's beak too closely today (she has horrible scissor beak but is a reliable egg layer) and it appeared to me that her tongue was attached to the roof of her upper beak. Does that sound right?
