Chicken mysteriously found dead.

One of my hens was found dead in her coop this afternoon. She was alive and normal this morning and days leading up to this.

All the hens are semi free range and eat well.

There were no signs of trauma, no missing parts, no dogs on the property. It almost seemed like cardiac arrest! We do have a Rooster, but I ruled him out as it doesn't seem like a Rooster could kill a full grown hen without causing some damage.

Any thoughts on what can kill a hen instantly without causing any damage to the body??

Did you find her on her back with feet up? When I first joined BYC, I read many posts about it. I think it was called " flip," and it was sudden cardiac arrest.
