Just bought 28 baby chicks today so I need some name ideas!!! Please. We only have one name so far and that's bandit.

My hens are
Hermione (like Harry potter)
Daffney and Selma (Scooby do)
Babs and Ginger (chicken run)
Peggy (has egg in the name lol)
Zazzles (big bang theory)
Torchic (Pokemon - fire chicken)
And Sophie (was a polish and reminded us of my sons girlfriend lol)

I'm terrible at thinking of names for chickens (and other things, for that matter).

I had a dog named Bertha Butts, she was a cocker but had a screw tail like a Pug. So you noticed her butt right away. Some chicken breeds have very large, cushioned behinds, so I think it would be a great name for one like that.

If you plan to sell some or give them away, the new people would like to pick names for them.

We're keeping all of them. There is 19 bantams. 4 black sex link. 2 Buffy's. And 3 we are unsure what kind right now.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) names our hens after Disney princesses. We have Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, Rapunzel, Tiana, Meridah, Elsa, Anna, etc. Black Sex Links are my favorite chickens as they are friendly and hardy, laying machines. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds and hybrids), and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year. You should get loads of brown eggs from those 4 girls. ) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in naming your chickens.

I would have to have a much better picture to try and identify the breed. For best results a clear (the one above is rather blurry) full body, profile pic would work best.
