Love some of these names!!
When we brought our 6 babies home, we "optimistically" gave them all girlish names (3 Ameraucanas & 3 Australorps)
We had Bright Eyes (the one that would always watch us and run to us from day one), Clever Girl (reference to the female raptor from Jurassic Park-figured out how to get out of brooder box AND was good and coordinating the other chicks), Road Runner (literally would RUN circles around the box and looks like a real life road runner), Shy Girl (she was shy, duh), Happy Feet (she LOOKED like a baby penguin and would dance/scratch the ground from day one-- and Mumble is a boy's name), and lastly, Debbie (the last one had no personality, and the lady at our produce section gave us a HUGE box to transfer our chicks to--and her name was... you guessed it... Debbie!)
SO-- fast forward 19 weeks, and we have Bright Eyes, who is now a ROO (sad face) and has been renamed Talon. He isn't mean, loves to cuddle, but my son thought after 15 weeks of being called Bright Eyes he needed an SUPER Roo name. Clever Girl was named James Franco--again, my son's input, and Debbie... well we still call him Debbie, but he is a Roo too!
OH and true to her name, we apparently cursed Happy Feet because she cannot cluck all sweet like the other 2 girls, and instead makes this TERRIBLE, awkward HONK sound when she tries to cluck, thus sounding like Mumble from Happy Feet, when he tries to sing.
Love my chick chicks!
