Chicken Names- whats your chickens name?

A friend of mine said that she names each new batch of chicks names that start with the same letter. That way she can keep track of how old they are and which group they started in.

I just finished naming all my 2 week old chicks

Chromie- Salmon Faverolle
Ducky- Blue Silkie
Dee Dee- BCM
Leia- EE
Boomer- OE
Pollyanna- SL Cochin
Luna- Blue Ameraucana
Winky- White Sultan
Dahlia- GL Polish

That's actually a really good idea, I will have to remember that. We only have 6 right now but I have a distinct feeling we will be getting lots more over time. :)

Ducks - Donald, daisy, Emma and iris

Rooster - Cogburn

Chickens - poppyseed, Mary Ann, Amelia, Betty, butterscotch, Lucy and ginger

Chicks - Harpy (areucana who peeps until you hold her), Red (Rhode Island red), Hermes (light brama with feathers on her feet - reminded me of the Greek god), Amber (amberlink)

Goldie, Godiva, Lacey, Oreo, Roxie and Rizzo (gold laced, silver laced and barred rocks)
(Some names may change depending on the personality of the chicken!)

2 more light bramas arriving next month- possible names are Perseus and Mercury (more Greek gods associated with wings/feathers)

Guineas - haven't been named because I don't know their gender yet

My chicks are:
- Charlie (BO)
- Rex (EE)
- Flounder (Speckled Sussex)
- Alyssa ( GP Hamburg)
- Melodie (GP Hamburg)

Alyssa and Melody are definitely pullets, as we purchased them from a feed store as pullets. Flouder, Rex, and Charlie hatched from our incubator, so we aren't sure of the genders. So far, Rex looks like a cockerel, Charlie looks like a pullet (Charlie is short for Charlynn), and Flounder is so tiny we can't tell
