My family each named a chicken when we got them.
My 2 year old daughter named our white rock Elsa (frozen)
So I named our buff Orpington Anna (frozen)
My 4 year old son named our Australorp Nova
And my husband named our SL wyandotte J ROC ( he's a trailer park boys fan)
Love Anna, Elsa and Nova

We have just one son and he has also gotten to pick out one breed and name it each year.
Last year he got an EE and named her
Clara after we named our Golden Sex-Link
Amelia (Doctor Who).
This year he chose a White Rock and named it
Snow, I had suggested Elsa but surprisingly he said no.
My husband named his Silver Grey Dorking
Victoria last year.
And his Light Brahma chick this year
Pema (Tibetan for Lotus, from Legend of Korra)
I named our Black Copper Marans
Morgaine, but we had to put her down about a month ago
I picked
Cornelia for my Welsummer chick but call her Cora.
Then there is
Baby, our Buff Orp who we called Baby Buff as a chick until we could think of something appropriate, but we couldn't agree on a name and Baby just stuck. It is fitting, she's a big jealous snuggle monster. She was a loner as a chick but rose all the way to second in command until Morgaine passed then she assumed the position of head hen.
Planning to get a few more chicks next spring, one red and one black and perhaps a blue.
