Love the names. We had 80 -All named-now have 75 ( neighbors dog killed 4 and Stumpy Ilean (her leg did not work well and large Rooster laid on her first cold night).
A few names we have:
Jimmy Buffet -buff colored Rooster silkie,
Jo Mama-black female silkie,
Lynard Syknard Brahma rooster-4 note crow,
Bill and Bob 2 large white brahma cross,
Wylie Wyatt a wyandotte,
California Koofall - rooster partridge cochin,
Clucker-follows you clucking,
Lady BentComb (her comb is bent),
Bertha Big Buff (big buff orp),
Gramma Black (black sex link),
Gray bootie- aracauna her rear is gray,
our coop is named (Rickys Roost) for our first rooster Ricky a black sex link. Betty Bad Back (her back was picked as a chick took long time to heal), African Jo is a black roo silkie,
Puddles and Paddles two tiny white female bantams with large feathers on their legs/feet (not sure what they are)
two polish cresteds Brook became Brock when he crowed, and Brittany when she did not.
Lydiabug cuckoo maran and Seeds - seed pattern on his feathers
3 Turkens Franklin (rooster) Gherke and Lurch (the hens)
Red Robin (rhode island red)

In late April, we started out with 10 (5 black sex link 5 buff orps), neighbors bought us 12 more (2 turkens 10 aracaunas), another neighbor bought us 12 more (bantams assortment- bramhas, silkies-cuckoo marans) then our grandkids sent up 25 from California. A friend called said her neighbor had a couple that needed home but did not want them to be eaten, when we got there She had 20 for us. Franklin and Wylie Wyatt we bought for my husbands birthday. We had no idea we had that many roosters until they matured and all of sudden started crowing. Evidentally they were mis identified when we bought the pullets. I hung a No Vacancy sign on coop so I will not get anymore.
Our neighbors come over alot bringing goodies to the coop, cleaning out gardens etc I give coop cleanings to them. Sat mornings a group show up with lawn chairs to watch them. I free range them alot, besides their pen.
We made nests from cat litter buckets.
We are in process of enlarging our coop. All the materials were given to us by neighbors, friends and it is quite elegant for a chicken coop. IWe were raised on ranches and always had chickens- busy schedules for the last 25 years we have not had any. So glad we got these. Thank you for all the information I had forgotten and new stuff I did not know.
I noticed today that Ricky first rooster has a very croaking crow. Not sure what is going on any ideas? Has been cold, snowy her in SD. They are snug in their insulated, sunny mint green interior.
Thanks

Was Baby until he turned into a roo.
Crazy Kate; I believe she is off....the girls don't even buddy up with her.
Rose; she has beautiful fanned tail feathers
Henny Penny; is very big, kind of the alpha female here.
Itsy Bits; she is the smallest, fragile, cute.
Gertrude; grumpy.
They are sure fun to watch.....

lol.... so many names,

I only have 4 and they are all Black Rocks, and my son decided to name them after the 4 matriarchs:

Rebecca ( a very important name in Wales)
Rachel
Leah
and Sarah.

lol... Sarah is distinctive as she is lighter in colour that the others. But all lovely.

Jena.

Lets see;

Mrs. Chicken, golden sebright
Naughty Snow White, serama
Sparkle, serama
Vivian, vorwerk
Laverne, oegb self blue
Shirley, quail oegb
Three bahookie sisters, ee's
Curly, serama cockerel

The bahookie sisters are almost three months old, the rest are pullets except for Curly, obviously. They all free range together except for Laverne and Shirley. They stay together inside most of the time. Curly tries to feed them all!

Edit; And a dozen unnamed eggs in the bator.
