late question bout what is your view on naming your chicken after food dishes like nugget, General Tso's , chicken parm and more

The chickens don't know what the words mean, and I don't think they'll suffer any emotional distress. So I'm ok with it.

I try not to go too personal, mostly just descriptive names so it's not too hard when they have to end up in the pot! My blue Americaunas are Mr and Misses Blue, my two Reds are Big Betsy and Big Bertha, and my bantam plymouth rocks are Mr Stripes and four Misses Stripes

My family each gets a chick every time and they get to name it the names I can think of are Sunny, Sugar, Honey, Snowflake, Angel, Ms.Glitter, Jessica, Buttercup, Cinnamon Roll, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Missy, Emo, Pixie, Clover, and Buttons.

We had Pecky (she didn’t survive the first week) Snoozie (he went to freezer camp after attacking our daughter, he was my favorite and would nap in my hand/on me when he was a chick. Softie (my daughter named this one) and Chirpy. We have 2 leghorns that for the longest time we’re referred to as “the leghorns” bc we could agree on a name, we (ie the kids) still don’t agree on a name but my hubs and I call them Squeakers and Honks-a-lot.
