really? thats funny,Ambrose's Son
I needed a name that would p*ss my friend off and one in Greek is even better since I love Greek. He hates this bird more than literally anything else on earth so I named him a name that means Immortal.really? thats funny,I didn't know Ambrose was that common of a name. I know a baby who is Ambroise son (I mean of course he has a reel name as well) thats interesting
OMG I know what you mean! my fave chicken, (a pullet) named Little Guy 'cause he was a runt. and try as we might to change it the mane stuck and we couldn't go backThere's nothing quite like a name that sticks when you DON'T want it to. Years ago one of our chicks got abandoned by his mother during a fox attack and earned the nickname "trauma chick" as result, lo and behold his father died and trauma chick turned out to be the oldest cockerel there to replace him. In a desperate attempt to not own a rooster named "Trauma" we tried coming up with other names for him but it had been completely ingrained and now we at least got it down to "Traum".
The name might actually be fitting because despite being half jersey giant and the size of a goose he is scared of absolutely everything not smaller than him and during a fox attack in his adulthood he abandoned HIS hens and hid somewhere else.
There's also a large dominant black hen with a blue leg-band who earned the title "Bluebitch", ill let you guess how she treats the other hens...
