I have 10 chickens that need names. Well I have several named already. There names are...
Hens: Digger, Roadrunner, and Chicken Jo- or Jojo for short. Roosters name is Smalls.
I need 4 names for my hens and 2 for the roosters. Any name will do, I just need names to call them when they jump on my lap.

We went with old-fashioned lady names, as they seem to fit hens! Mine are:

Amelia (Short for Amelia Earhardt...She's very bold and adventurous.)

Penny (Henny Penny. Everyone's gotta have one!)

Dot (She's a wyandotte. Not my most original name!)

Rosie

Lily

Dolly

Lucy (A red-head buckeye. Beautiful, and she's chased off crows and cats!)

You might want to consider a theme...favorite book characters, t.v. show characters, etc.

Good luck on the naming. It's kind of fun!

Thanks so much. I really like those names. Your chickens sound fun. I have a hard time thinking of names, this really helps.

We went with names of my husband's Irish ancestors; Bridget, Mary, Maggie, Hannah, Helen, Alice and Mick....only Mick is now Mickie (Mikayla) and Maggie is Morris...oooops

That's a good idea! But none of my families names sound like good names for my chicks. I really like those names too. This is really going to take more watching the chicks to know them better. I am thinking a good name for one of the roosters is Butterball, he loves to snuggle. He thinks he rules everything, but he is really a big softy.
