In the Brooder
Thank you for taking the time to share. She’s been very sick for awhile with difficulty breathing -(sounded like labour intervals) Egg bound symptoms. Prolapse. I had suspected perhaps the fly strike she first had and recovered from caused issues internally that didn’t heal correctly. Her comb was bright red. There wasn’t any atrocious smell. Infact I don’t remember thinking she smelt at all. No moulting. She had been picking keel feathers. In addition to the liver issue there was definitely something wrong with her ovarian follicles presenting with this dark colour.
Neither does her heart look healthy.
Did she often show blueish comb colour?
What was the smell like when you opened up the body cavity? Sometimes the smell gives a lead.
Was she molting at the time of her death?
