I noticed some spots on my 8 month old Rhode Island Red’s comb yesterday. The google search suggested Fowl Pox. Couldn’t find a treatment. Any suggestions?

Do you have a photo? Pecking from other birds will cause black spots from dried blood. Can look very similar to Fowl Pox. Fowl Pox causes blisters.

Fowl pox looks the same as chicken pox on humans with blisters and scabs there is no treatment but since you are in Texas I would put Vaseline on it to keep the flies off
