Hello! I am new to raising chickens. My hubby had them when he was a young boy. I grew up in the city and always wanted a big farm. I am excited to get started with my own flock.

My husband and I designed and built our own coop. I will have to post pictures soon. I am now the proud chicken mama of 14 chicks. I was supposed to get 6...but, I fell in love and just could not resist. I also happened to fall in love with a couple of ducklings too. I am an animal lover. Drives the hubby nuts. 2 big dogs, 4 cats, a tortoise, and now chickens and ducks.

Hey there Welcome to Backyard Chickens maybe we can take a step back to the introduction where you fill out a bit about you where at how many birds, breeds, ages
all that good stuff we love photo's also how are you getting a coop? building it ot buying it ? We love photos
