Chicken newbie

Hi!! Completely new to the chicken world and super eggcited for some eggs. We just started this spring. We have 5, 1 transgender brown leghorn? A barred rock, a white leghorn, and 2 Rhode Island reds.
Family life has me married for 21 years with 4 kids and 4 cats. The wonderful hubs built an amazing coop, though the girls will free range during the day.
Super excited to be here and especially referred to this page by a coworker.
