We are new to chickens. My kids have been wanting them for years. After many years of stalling, we went to the IFA Easter egg hunt just down the street. They didn't win a coupon for a free chick but we bought some anyway. We were going to give them to my mom to raise when they got a little older but we are a little too attached I guess.
So we installed the chicken coop today and have two Golden Saxon chickens (if I remember the name right...it's all a blur). We know we have a lot to learn about raising chickens but we are looking forward to it.
We did have three chickens but our dog got to one of them.
