Pretty. And I love the smile on your face. That is the best part. It shows how much you like her too. I agree with others. Chickens seem to hang out in pairs. Try to get at least one more the same size/age
she was given to us before our coop was ready. now the coop is ready and we are going to get 4 more tonight. i'm excited but a bit nervous about introducing them all. i'm sure it will all work out... just trying to figure out what other breed to get? i want a few social girls. we don't want a rooster... at least not at this point, but a couple more girls to eat bugs and lay eggs would be nice. plus, fluffy would love the company
I would look on craigslist for some started pullets or some hens that are already laying. Always quarentine the new ones. I love easter eggers. Yoy will get blue pink and green eggs. I love marans as well. Sex links are always a great choice too. Because u automatically know from their color if its a male or female. Just a few suggestions. Those are my favorites though. And who doesnt love an easter egger...
I suggest Easter Eggers. They have great personaltites and are very pretty. They also lay blue, green, or pink eggs and I mean who wouldnt want color eggs. And I agree with what ChickyDoos said and like they said who dosent love EEs.
My Dad has 3 EE pullets that absolutely love him and will perch on his shoulder like parrots They usually have a great personality. I also love Wyandottes for a friendly personality.
