Today I turned over my garden - my girls experienced nirvana
How do your girls experience nirvana? I'm looking for different ideas for nature to be involved in their feeding with minimal expense on my part.
There are 2 things I already do.
I have 10 large pine logs scattered throughout their yard and every week I flip 1 or 2 over to reveal a bug feast.
In the fall I gather all the leaf litter and use parallel rows of chicken wire to make a wall. In the winter it keeps the wind off the coop door. In late spring I remove the chicken wire and let them go to town on wall breakdown. They find bug and worm bonanza.
