Hi all, I just started my flock with 3 chicks one week ago. Here are a few pics of the young ladies and their living quarters. For now, they're cordoned off only in the top-right half of the coop's upstairs area. They seem to like it. Also, I have a wireless ip-based camera set up inside and can access and control it from my computer, iPhone and iPad. The cam has a mic so I can also hear the audio in addition to the real-time video feed.

Thank you! Other than when I'm sleeping, I don't think I've gone more than 15 minutes without watching them on cam or sticking my big head in their coop to say hi and chat'em up for a few. Good thing I'm self employed and am usually working from home.

what a beautiful set up and adorable chicks. I think most of your day will be spent watching their antics.

Thank you so much! You couldn't be more right. They're so funny and interesting, and seem so curious about everything, it's hard to stop watching. And boy do they LOVE yogurt! Read it was good to get them the probiotics to support good poops, so I've been giving them a daily small plate of plain greek yogurt with some chick feed mixed in. They go nuts over it.

Sounds very cool, I'm jealous.
Welcome and enjoy!

Thanks Steve! Nice site with so much great info and support. I've been lurking for a couple weeks learning what I could before getting my chicks, but today I finally took the time to get signed up in earnest. Thanks again, cheers.
