Hello all from Fresno California!!
I am new to the forum, but have read many posts before finally settling down and signing up for an account. My parents raised and still raise pigs and chickens. Out of the 10 siblings I was the only one interested in raising and being self sufficient. Now at 25 i have my own little garden and hens and fresh eggs from my lovely girls (Molly, Sophia, Malon (pronounced Maron), Romani, Olivia, Mc Nuggets, Roxanne, Beatrice, Agatha and Lydia). Life is great!
I thought I knew how to raise chickens because my parents did it. Unfortunately having done a ton in internet research, my parents knew nothing about raising chickens. Their chickens were often sick and ate only corn. Good thing for technology!! I'm glad I am not raising them like how my parents did, whew! My girls are happy and healthy because of you BYC! So thanks BYC for all your informative posts!!!
