On a side note I want to apologize to the younger generations that have to endure Medicare,health insurance, death/final expense insurance,and the like commercials driven by us aging Boomers.

Now that this ridiculously slow moving storm is waning maybe those of us on the east coast can get back to tending to the fall garden chores.

I cut back my most productive yellow cayenne plant to get ready for over wintering since it only had tiny new peppers left. I also ripped all the flowers and small fruit I could find off my other pepper plants so they put their energy to ripening the fruit they already have

I got tired just reading your day.

LOL that just gets me through lunch! I plug on until well after 7pm, and even then I'm up and down with baking or laundry, or other weird jobs. Toss in the sewing and weaving, here and there furniture restoration, reorganization, skeet shooting, or range time well, ... you get the picture.

This time of year, you don't have a choice. It's a race against the end of the list and the weather, and it doesn't care how tired you are. So you keep plugging along. @akroberts1085

So I hardly saw ANY honeybees all summer. Like I could literally count them on one hand. For the WHOLE summer!

Yesterday I was walking around the barn area where the wireweed chokes out all the grass and everything. I've been trying to keep it mowed down because wireweed is one of the banes of my existence. Well it decided to flower anyway, even at 6" tall. As I stood there feeling very annoyed at being outsmarted by a stupid plant, I realized that the entire wireweed patch was literally humming with almost a dozen or more honeybees!

I didn't make it back to the garden to get the rest of the pumpkins and it's raining and was really windy so I guess it has to wait until the weather clears up.
