Yesterday I was at school when this all happened. My brother let his dogs out but let my chicken(matilda) stay in her lay spot, the dogs ran right to her. The dogs had her neck in their mouth but luckily my brother got the jaws loose. After than I got home and my brother was gone, so i had no idea, i found her on the couch just standing there not doing anything. I noticed her neck feathers were really hard, so i gave her a bath to try to see if she was injured. She doesn't look injured but several feathers are missing from her head. After all of this she is just standing there, not eating, drinking, or pooping. She is definitely not herself. Outside she looked as if she was trying to poop but couldn't. Like she was struggling. After that she just stood there. She did lay en egg yesterday according to my brother. Last night I had her seperates from the others. But she is still acting the same. Please Help me, im not sure what is happening to her, i think it is stress but there might be something else wrong.

I had the same thing happen with my chickens this morning. The 2 that were effected don't have any visible injuries but are just sitting in the same spot not moving. Hopefully it is just shock.

Yea, mine doesn't have any physical injures, but im really worried about her, hopefully it is just shock. Though I'm also worried about that because stress can be deadly.

I have noticed that she has only pooped about 2-4 times since she was attacked. I know for sure she has twice. Yesterday night, and today. But her poop has been covered in a white goo stuff. Can someone explain thus to me?

I'm sorry to hear your hen is not doing well.

She may have some neck injuries and is in shock. Keep her relatively warm (75-80F) and provide her with some electrolytes for a day or so then switch to poultry vitamins.
Once she is hydrated, then see if she will eat for you. You can give her normal feed or try some chopped egg.

Should i keep her inside? Also i do not think there were any neck injuries, there was no blood. Some of her feathers were missing though.

And tomorrow i will mix the electrolytes with her water and give her some chopped egg, should it be cooked?

Today, she is doing a little better. Shes showing interest in eating. Tonight I want to see how she does with the others. I did have her seperated.

Keep watch on her, hopefully the others will be just fine with her. Sometimes if one is weak or injured, they can be picked on.

You may want to monitor her the best you can for several days to see that she is drinking well and eating. Even if you don't see any obvious wounds/blood, dogs can squeeze - this can cause quite a bit of damage in itself sometimes.

Keep us posted.
