Hi all!
It's been a while since I've been on here, but I have a silkie bantam not doing so well and would like some advice.
I first noticed it two nights ago when she (pullet I think, not sure if some of the eggs were hers or not) wasn't roosting upstairs but was cuddled up downstairs. It was dark and hard to see so I picked her up to put her upstairs thinking maybe there wasn't enough room up there (since we had some chicks a while back my dad needs to add some more things to the coop). Her eyes seemed bright when I was holding her, but maybe they had been closed beforehand.
All the chooks have been dusted for mites/lice several times recently (in the last 2 months I'd say) since I noticed tiny bugs on them on several occasions. I will check her but I doubt there are any. We also put this pink stuff in their water for worms - but it was for birds and pigeons so we gave them the pigeon dosage. Maybe it's worms, and it wasn't enough, or not the right stuff?
Can anyone suggest what I can do? I've got limited resources as to medication so I'll try anything!
It's my dad who reminded me just now that she's not doing so well. I'm going to check on her now and see how she looks. I'll updated you soon.
Any advice appreciated, sorry for the long post.
