I had a dog bite one of my hens today. She didnt get hurt real bad, mainly just the feathers pulled out of her leg. I seperated her, She is still in the coop but in her own cage, and she has feed and water. she will drink water but look at her food and turn away. With her having trama today, is she just still to worked up to eat, or is there something i need to be woriied about?

If he grabbed her, she may have internal injuries. I'm guessing that perhaps she is simply stressed because of the attack. Tomorrow should tell the story as to the degree of damage.

I cleaned the area with alcohol and applied neosporin to it. The dog never grabed her just kinda got her leg, and a mouth full of feathers. Im brand new to this and have never been around chickens
