When I was a teen, my sisters first husband had an alligator that walked on a leash( mouth taped shut), so ANYTHING is possible!
Well, except stretching a knats.....

My Mother used to tell me this story;

She was born in Central FL in the mid-1920's and was raised on a farm during the depression. When the she and her sisters got bored, they would make a hole in a kernel of corn, tie a string to the kernel and throw it down with more corn for the chickens. When one of the hens picked up the corn and swallowed it, they would lead the hen around by the string 'til My Grannie Collins caught them and told them to leave her hens alone.
Sounds like good cheap fun for farm kids as long as no one or thing got hurt.

Too funny ... I seem to remember something about a feather in thru the mouth and out thru the eye socket maybe, when I was 5. I had some rowdy uncles.

Totally possible! I've got a RIR rooster and a OEGB hen that simply adore going places - On their harness! It takes TONS of patience and free time, but once they're used to the leash and harness and don't freak out anymore when they can't go past the end of the lead, start offering them treats when they come to you. Once they automatically come to your hand when a treat is offered take a step and make them come to it. Gradually increase the amount of steps you take before your chicken gets the treat, and eventually they'll get the point were they pretty much follow you. Although I'll have to agree it's WAY easier to just follow them around on a leash!

Good luck!!

I'm assuming here, that the commands "sit"', "stay", "heal", and "fetch" are not going to be obtainable ??
