Hey Everyone!! :)
I got this new addition to our flock recently and she was sold to me as an Orpington Hen. Now, I think she looks a lot like a hen but she keeps trying to mount my other hens and it sure looks like mating to me! Is this normal hen behavior? Or does this actually look like a rooster to you? She was born in June

Thanks for your help!

Thanks to everyone that answered. I can’t believe how clueless I am about all this. The seller is ignoring my calls and texts!
I would keep him but I already have a rooster and only 2 other chickens. I don’t know what to do with this extra guy now...I’ll figure it out. Thanks again all!

Chicken dinner and learn a little more to tell at that age. That age is usually easy to tell.

I just got a straight run (un-sexed) of 12 and 10 out of 12 are cockerel/roos. Only too pullets/hens. They are 9-10 weeks old and I can tell! Now I have 10 more roosters than I needed! Lot's of chicken dinners soon!

Send them a text to let them know you will go on Facebook and tell everyone about your experience will this seller. That usually makes sellers want to do the right thing.
