Do you have turkeys?Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
You can either feed medicated or just very closely monitor the poults and treat for coccidiosis at the first signs of illness. Have liquid Corid on hand at all times.
I feel brooding outside, with access to a dry clean area of ground using a brooder plate is the healthiest way to brood chicken chicks and should be for poults too.
You should be able to show them the food and waterer and they should catch on without having to put a chick in with them. The chick needs to learn how to eat too!
Only at Thanksgiving and they don't stay for long.Do you have turkeys?
