Mike’s Feed Farm Hosts Fourth Annual Chicken Owners Workshop
Speakers will address health benefits of raising birds for food and eggs
WHAT: Mike’s Feed Farm is hosting the fourth annual Chicken Owners Workshop for people who have thought about raising chickens and who want to learn more about the benefits of producing their own food. There will be three sessions during the workshop. One session will consist of Arianna Bos discussing her experiences with raising chickens and sharing tips on what you need to do to raise your own. Another workshop will feature Brian “the Purina guy” speaking about the nutritional needs for backyard chickens and highlighting different feed options that can meet any budget. Thirdly, Victor Alfieri will be focusing on several topics ranging from local ordinances to the benefits of growing your own food. Mike’s Feed Farm will offer a 10% discount on all items in store to participants immediately following the workshop.
WHEN: Sunday, April 6th, 6p.m. – 7:30pm
WHERE: Bograds Furniture, 81 Hamburg Turnpike, Riverdale, N.J. 07457 (directlyacross the street from Mike’s Feed Farm)
The sale will be at Mike’s Feed Farm, 90 Paterson-Hamburg Turnpike, Riverdale, N.J. 07457
WHY: This workshop will provide extensive information on the benefits of raising backyard chickens and what interested members of the public will need to get started. Current and potential chicken owners will have the opportunity to network and mingle and then purchase necessary supplies at a reduced cost
