I believe my chickens got dog hookworms. One died weakly. I found out I have hookworms and traced it to contaminated soil since our dog has not been wormed for a while now. Dog is now wormed and I am wormed and need now to worm chickens especially for hookworms. Fenbendazole does not kill.hookworms. I need albendazole. Where to get??? Please help. I also need to disinfect yard somehow for hookworm. Chicks are staying only in coop till I figure out a solution since hookworm larvae can live a while in soil esp. down here is Florida! I dont know how to get rid of them in soil for good! What a mistake that I forgotten to worm my dog.

Welcome to BYC. I live in Florida as well.
Fenbendazole DOES kill hookworms as does Valbazen (Albendazole.) Both are Benzimidazoles and both treat all types of roundworms that chickens can get. Fenbendazole kills hookworms in dogs. We had it happen with our dog.
Hookworm eggs are in the soil and larva can reinfect mammals and chickens over and over again.
Soil treatment is nearly impossible eliminating any type of worms including hookworms.
I recommend that you continue giving your dog a monthly wormer as we do. Dont go barefooted. I dont even wear flip flops, mostly because fire ants tear me up.
As far as your chickens are concerned, worm them monthly with Safeguard liquid goat wormer or Valbazen. It's the only way to break the worms lifecycle. I've been worming my birds monthly for years mostly using Valbazen.
Here's a link for you to read, good info about hookworms in the soil:

They're likely in the soil whether or not you worm your dog. You can't sanitize your ground, unfortunately.
How did you verify the hookworm in chickens?
I did not but I had hookworms from my dog. Its from contact with soil in the yard where the chickens were let out. I had one chicken die very skinny. I am just guessing but its very likely they picked up my dogs hookworms. The dog is treated and on preventative but I dont know what to do with the chickens.i got valbezen and know it kill hookworm adults and larvae but the environment is already infected. The soil in the coop as well now. I'm really at a loss. I can keep.them.on valbezen but then can't eat the eggs. My husband thinks its no big deal.and I think its bad.

It's really no big deal, all chickens have worms it's about number control.
Dawg has the correct information for you.

I live in north east Florida, and just found out my dog has hookworms (he's on preventive, always has been). My chickens free range, which now has me concerned they may have hookworms as well. Do you treat your chickens monthly, with the safegurd whether or not they have hookworms or only if they have it?

I always worm my birds monthly, hookworms or not. There are other types of worms that chickens can get; large roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms, gizzard worms, eye worms, gapeworm and tapeworms.
Living in southeast Georgia and in northeast Florida, the most common worms in our area are large roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms and tapeworms. Tapeworms require a wormer containing Praziquantel to kill them such as Equimax or Zimecterin Gold horse paste.
Safeguard or Valbazen will take care of the other worms.
