Chicken Parents

I always get the most incredulous looks when I talk about having chickens. Only other chicken owners (which are few and far between) really get it! Does anyone else have this problem?? Haha! I always hear "You have have CHICKENS???"

I've had that same problem. I live in a heavy farm community. Everyone has at least a dog while others have cows, horses, chickens, etc. But I'm only 25 and when people hear me gush about my chickies, they think I'm crazy. They expect me to go out and party and have fun and "be young" while I'd rather sit home and watch an egg hatch HaHa!

naw, we live in a rural farming area. so people around here wouldn't think much of it, but i can imagine if you live in a big city that people may raise their brows. owning chickens is very addicting!
