Chicken passed away, will this effect my other chicken?

I am so sorry. We have had one who lost a best friend (we still had a whole flock).
Every morning for a while, she got up and searched for her friend, making little crying sounds. It was heart breaking. Like humans she had to grieve for a while and over time things got better and she became closer to some of the other birds.
Good luck with finding her a friend.

Awww, I do feel bad for her and notice she’s not as energetic as she was before. She sits in her friends spot but we did find another friend the next day so she wasn’t lonely. Same breed and same age!
