Over the past 3 days i’ve been watching one of my three week old, americana chicks peck the air constantly. I wasn’t too worried at first thinking she was probably just hunting the dust floating underneath her brooder light, but she just kept doing it nonstop even when I was holding her and then I saw she was also trying to wipe her face and had liquid shaking from her mouth and nose periodically. I tried to give her some scrambled egg and she couldn’t even stop pecking at the air and wiping her face long enough to eat some. It looks miserable because if she’s not eating sleeping or drinking then she’s packing the air :(
Any help or tips would be appreciated

I have no information but just wanted to say, My gosling is doing a very similar thing. She still eats and drink. But on a regular basis she’s “eating the air”. In my situation I don’t think it’s that serious. I hope your chick does better. And I hope somebody with information sees your post!

I just watched the video of your chick. Interesting. My gosling seems to be doing the exact thing. Unlike yours she’s still eating/drinking. Hm very interesting.
