Chicken pecking one another?!

Hi all! Anyone ever experience a pullet pecking another one? I have a couple Dominique pullets, and one will not stop pecking the other one. Thanks in advance!

Yep, they do that...not just as pullets either; lol its a lifetime affliction

They establish "pecking order" in this way... The one doing the pecking is dominant over the one getting pecked.

They might also help groom insects off of each other, but that's more of a friendly pecking

Sometimes they peck when crowded or stressed; make sure your brooder is warm and no drafts, food and clean water.. And space. As long as there are no pulled feathers or bloodshed, it is perfectly normal.
