I just got 2 silkies about a week ago and their poop was hard and looked very healthy, but now that they are here eating my food its become really light brown and very very soft, like diahrea (spelling). I have a RIR that ive had for a month and a half and her poop is the exact same as the new chicks. Ive been giving them this chick starter food and I was wondering if maybe its because of the food I am giving them..? Am I suppose to be giving them something different now that they are getting older??

I use purina start and grow until they are about 20 weeks old or start laying. Any change in diet could effect the poo. As long as there is no blood i wouldn't worry.

Every ten poops or so, your chicken will have a cecal poop that's watery and very smelly.

Are you sure these aren't just cecal poops?
