Chicken poop on my Porch

I've been combatting this behavior by keeping a couple of glasses of water ready. I see on on the porch and its shower time. They hate it and have mostly stayed off the porch. Still a work in progress.

I have one rule - no chickens on the porch.

Guesss where they love hanging out. The porch. The poop is not my idea of a good welcome mat.

Mine have to hike up 12 steep steps to the back deck to get up there and at least 6 come for a visit everyday! I think they want to check out what's going on and the excitement leads to poop, poop, poop! It's like a field trip when they get out of the yard.

i hate that everyday when i come home i have to get the water hose and spray off the porch from doodies.!:X XD i almost wanna put some sorta fence around the porch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone ,Roger the hen poops on the porch daily. Roger is a yard chicken, actually she belongs to my neighbor but poops on my porch I feed her I must confess. I was wondering is it too late for her to be trained for a coop when its built for her.

lol... my hubby and I began feeding our chickens while we ate a meal in our gazebo and now they run to the gazebo every time we go in there, hoping for food. My only problem with that is that the poops that are, shall we say, less than solid and they are almost impossible to clean off. Any suggestions?!

I try to avoid hauling out the power washer more than once or twice a year (does damage to the paint job!) but I will try a hose after soaking the spots with simple green... thanks!
