Anybody know what is going on with these sores? This bird had been affected more than the rest but it seems to be spreading to more birds. Any advice?

Yes, that looks to be dry fowl pox, a virus spread by mosquitoes. It can last about 3 weeks, and most chickens tolerate it okay with a complete recovery. Sometimes though, they can get scabs around the eyes that may cause an eye infection. Or the worse form of pox, the wet or diphtheritic type, can make lesions inside the beak, throat and esophagus, which may be painful and cause them to stop eating and drinking enough. It is good to not disturb the scabs, so as not to spread it, and make sure that she is getting plenty of nutrition. Here is some info:

Seemed like that's what it was, this is my first experience having birds and it sure is nice to have seasoned chicken keepers help. Thank you! :thumbsup
