Hello! While I have never owned chickens, my SO did as a kid growing up and he was thrilled when we moved in to our new house a few months ago and we got a big ole chicken coop with it. In the next couple weeks we are going to be getting our chicks, a whopping 25 of them!
Hopefully I can keep getting more information on brooding them all and caring for them!

Read the forum Raising Baby Chicks to prepare yourself; you need to have a brooder, heat (recommend reading MHP by Blooie) & enjoy. You'll also need to check the existing Coop, predator proof above all, those chicks will OUT GROW the brooder pretty fast. You may want to keep them in the first week to observe, then move them out to the coop IF it's secure. They need heat until fully feathered, using the MHP it has been done. It's a must read thread.

you know we will want pictures.
will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
