chicken problems

i have a bantam rooster who has no tail. it looks like he hasent lost his down feathers and hes four months old. what should i do

his rear is nothing but gray down feathers

Are the others plucking them out perhaps?

i never seen them and hes realy good friends with the other rooster they are always together

If he has gone four and a half months without any tail feathers I would say it is an odd development. Still he is not quite mature yet. If he is acting normal I wouldn't be too worried. I just wouldn't breed him.
